The Inno Sense Medium Port bits are made of elastic synthetic material and are slightly flexible (less flexible than Flexi Soft). This mouthpiece has a smooth port that creates decreases the pressure on the center of the horse’s tongue. The 2.5 Eggbutt is a milder version of a 3-ring bit. Leverage can be created with this cheekpiece. The lower the reins are placed, the stronger the leverage becomes. This cheekpiece can be suitable for horses that are very strong or hold the bit. Compared to the 2.5 Ring, the 2.5 Eggbutt rings cannot move loosely and therefore the rein aid works more directly.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for every horse and are particularly suitable for young horses and/or horses with a sensitive mouth. The synthetic material is FDA approved, which means the material does not contain plasticizers and is nontoxic to humans and animals. Inno Sense mouthpieces are significantly softer than metal mouthpieces, and must be correctly placed in a horse’s interdental space so teeth do not damage the mouthpiece. If a horse’s teeth damage the mouthpiece, it is not considered a manufacturing defect.
