Based in Walsall, UK for over 30 years, Ideal is one of the world’s largest makers of all-leather saddles on wooden trees. Their extensive range spans dressage, jumping, eventing, and showing. With over 80 years of combined experience, Master Saddlers Rob Cullen and John Hartley have built Black Country Saddles into a name recognized worldwide for innovation and quality. Each saddle is handcrafted in Walsall, UK using traditional methods, British materials, pure wool flocking, and wood-laminated spring trees backed by a 10-year guarantee. Specializing in custom-built saddles, Black Country works closely with fitters to create the ideal balance of comfort and performance for both horse and rider.
Frank Baines Saddlery
Since 1981, Frank Baines has been handcrafting some of the world’s finest wool-flocked saddles. What began as a small family workshop in Walsall, UK—the heart of saddle-making—has grown into a globally respected brand, known for exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and rider-focused design. Every saddle reflects decades of tradition, skill, and dedication to both horse and rider. Tasha is our resident Baines specialist, so the majority of Baines fittings will be with her.
